Hi,

My name is Samson Libus and I am a resident of Franklin Square. I am a husband, father, lifelong science enthusiast, and founder of Skylab STEM. With over 20 years in the IT industry, my passion for technology and curiosity about how things work has only grown stronger. Inspired by childhood favorites like Bill Nye the Science Guy and Popular Science, I’ve always loved tinkering, experimenting, and making things; now a joy I share with my own kids and as a volunteer with the Civil Air Patrol.

I saw firsthand how hands-on STEM experiences can spark curiosity and confidence in young minds. That’s why I created Skylab STEM, a space where kids can explore, create, and collaborate. Staffed by retired teachers and passionate mentors, we provide opportunities I wish I had growing up, like building pinewood derby cars and launching rockets.

At Skylab STEM, we believe every child deserves a chance to discover the passion, beauty and joy of science.

See you soon,
Samson Libus

P.S. If you you see me first, just stop and ask.
